It's fair game

I truly think that if she leaves, I can hop up into her seat. After all, it's nice and warm. There is usually something to lay my head on...her Bible, her pillow, a blanket...it's all good!

An exciting adventure

The other day we, that would be the Big One and me, were just laying around minding our own business. Actually, I was sitting in the window sill looking outside. That is my favorite spot in the whole house because the Big One can't get to me and I can enjoy all the things going on outdoors without having to look over my shoulder to see what the Big One is up to. He likes to try to sneak up on me and bite my neck but I'm way to quick for him! So, anyway, all was quiet until I saw the momma and sister drive up. I was so excited that I ran up to the front door to greet them. Of course, the Big One has to do EVERYTHING I do so he followed. I heard the key turn in the lock and the door came open.
I waited patiently for them to come into the house and then there was a REALLY loud noise and she turned her back on the door and walked a few steps away from the door. I couldn't believe it!
I looked at the Big One and he looked back at me and in a split second we made a mad dash for it!
FREEDOM!
Oh, man was it our lucky day! We were out before they knew what to do and the Big One was running really fast. Then, I realized that we were not alone. There were some other dogs running too. WOW! The Big One was chasing all those other dogs. Boy was I glad that I was with him because they didn't look too friendly. When I got closer I could see that they were dirty and smelly and they looked mean. One of them turned around and tried to bite me but the Big One chased him away.
Then, I heard that sound. You know that high pitched sound that is always followed by a yummy treat. Yeah! I had to stop and get my breath. I'm thinking I may be a bit out of shape. I listened again and then I was sure that my best friend was calling me and there would be a yummy treat if I obeyed. I was running as fast as I could and the Big One passed me up. I hate when that happens. I can't help that my legs are really short.
We got to go play outside, run and almost fight with some really mean dogs AND get a nice treat.
It was a great day!

My lucky day!

Finally, everyone left the house and I was all alone. I thought they would never leave! I had been sniffing out some new aroma since the weekend and wanted to do more exploring.
When I made absolutely sure that they were no where to be found, I made my way up on to the recliner. Just in case someone came running back in to get something they had forgotten, I pretended to sleep there by the window in the very comfy recliner for a few minutes.
Not long because the excitement was just too much for me.
I carefully stood up and in one leap, jumped up on the table. I just love it that they have this table here right in the middle of the room. I hope it stays here forever because they have all kinds of really yummy treats up here.
I sniffed around until I found what I was looking for. They were in a bag. But I could sniff right through that plastic. I knew there was something very yummy in there to eat. I began working on getting it open. Not as easy as it looks, for sure. But my persistence paid off and finally I was able to tear open the bag and voila, yummy peanut butter cookies!!
Lots of them. I wanted to savor them but instead I just gobbled them up in fear that someone would come and take them away from me.
Oh, how delicious.
Now, I can lay down and sleep for a long while!
They will never know.
I left no crumbs behind.

I just can't be left alone!

The house is in caos! I used to hang out in the kitchen but that place doesn't even look like a kitchen anymore. There is black plastic where there used to be a gate. My bed is no longer in my favorite spot. I JUST don't know what to do!

I was so distraught today when everyone went off and left me that I found a colorful chew toy and I had a good time.

I also made myself at home on the table where they keep the food and other stuff. I really think they should be happy because I licked the table clean. I really could not help that I left my paw prints all on the table. It was fun.

I wonder what I can get into tomorrow when they all leave? I can't wait!

Don't leave me alone in the kitchen!

This is a picture of guilty Bella. She was naughty this morning. She slept with Aleece but woke up about 5:30. She sleeps at Aleece's feet but when she wakes up she gets up and lays right by Aleece's face and just stares at her. At this point, Aleece is trying to ignore her but can feel her stare boring holes into her. She is patient for about 30 minutes and then she is done. She stands up and begins to get Aleece's attention by nuzzling her, licking her and if all that doesn't work, jumping down from the bed and scratching at the door.
In frustration, Aleece gets up and takes her to the kitchen and locks her behind the gate. This is not definitely not what Aleece had in mind. She is distressed as Aleece turns to go back to her warm bed that is calling her name. Bella tries to get her attention.
She opens my cabinets and knocks my plastic ware on to the floor. She gets a paper bag and rips it to shreds to show her displeasure at being left alone in the kitchen.
We got your message loud and clear, Bella!
